Our Mission
Via Forma Learning Academy exists to help students unlock the world through literacy by providing explicit, systematic instruction in a supportive learning environment. The academy is committed to serving students with unique learning needs through personalized instruction, foundational skill development, and a low-sensory educational setting.
Instruction should meet the needs of the child.
Every child deserves access to literacy.
Foundational years matter deeply.
Meet our Founder
With over two decades of experience as a veteran classroom teacher and educational leader, I have dedicated my career to one mission: ensuring that every child, regardless of their starting point, has the key to unlock the world through literacy. I hold a Specialist in Educational Leadership and a Master’s in the Art of Teaching, but my most valuable lessons haven't come from textbooks. They have come from the thousands of hours spent at small group tables in my classroom, watching lightbulbs go off when a struggling reader finally "cracks the code."
I founded this academy because I saw a growing gap in our local educational landscape. In large traditional settings, students with disabilities and unique learning needs are often asked to fit into a mold that wasn't built for them. I believe the mold should fit the child. By combining the Science of Reading with a boutique, low-sensory environment, I provide the explicit, systematic instruction that K–3 students need during these critical foundational years.
